Hi folks, I tried this on the Newbie forum and had no response, so I'll try here:
I am starting to make DVDs of live music, not yet professionally--stilll learning. So, I need to sync one or more camcorders (haven't bought one yet) with my PC-based DAW. I have several channels of audio which must run in sync with at least one camcorder. I have a MOTU Traveler which can read LTC and can output Wordclock for audio. The device can clock in either direction, from LTC to Wordclock or reverse. But I need to know just what is required in my camcorder--if there is a LANC jack, will that suffice? I have read of a few devices which will generate an LTC signal from LANC; if I get one of these (Hirose, Rosendahl, etc.), will I have the hardware I need? I run Adobe Premiere Pro 6.5 and Audition 1.5. Thanks for any help. Any links or book references would be *greatly* appreciated.
