I am tyring to decide the best way to record older home movie to dvd.I have been recording my newer movies from my dv camera through the firewire cable. It is time consuming editing the way I like them. I don't plan on editing a lot of the older movies that my mom and dad have taking several years ago.I want to put her vhs movies on dvd for her for Christmas.
I am thinking about getting a set-top vhs dvd recorder.OK now my questions. Are set-top dvd recorders faster than capturing video on my computer? My computer does'nt have a video capture card I will have to buy one to go that route. Can I edit some of the dvd recorded on set-top with my computer.Which dvd recorders are best to buy and which way is faster to copy vhs to dvd?
Which capture card is best internal or external usb?
