Basic Animated Still Images

I'm trying to find simple (very basic) tutorials on how to animate a motion on a still image that's part of a video project I'm doing. When I say basic I really mean that. Just simple zoom in/out, pan left or right. That's it.

I have Creative Suite 2 that includes Photoshop/ImageReady. Any links available to tutorials? If someone knows of an easier program for this, I'd be open to that as well.
