Hi there, wonder if anyone can help me with an issue which is driving
me mad !!!!! I thought I'd fixed it, but spoke too soon
I have a Philips DVD recorder 3350, which can play DivX files direct
from DVD/USB.
I have a set of downloaded AVI files, which play perfectly on my
computer. In linux, and Windows. Yet when I burn these to DVD (or use
the USB stick) the audio is out of sync - on some. I though I have
fixed the problem, by using AVIDEMUX to load the AVI, construct a VBR
time map, and save it out again. This seemed to fix some files.
HOwever, there are some that it doesn't fix.
I have tried loading the files, and looking for differences between
those that work and those that don't, but not being a codec guru am a
bit stumped ?
The spec for the DVD recorder says it supports VBR. However when I
recode the AVIs as having a CBR audio, they still play out of synch.
It seems to me my computer is able to read the audio/video sync
information, but the DVD recorder can't ... but I don't know what
settings to fiddle with.
Does anyone have any suggestions, or could they point me towards the
experts ?
