I'm writing rtsp stream to disk by VLC. But during some intervals (for example, when the signal is lost) I need to write, for example, black frames. But I don't want to just write data into video file according to interval duration. Is there any possibility to set some frame's duration? What tools can help me? It would be great to solve this problem by VLC, but it looks like mencoder-like tools are more appropriate.
