GTM4 video in an .avi file

I have an .avi video clip that when I look at its properties it reads as follows.

'GTM4', 320 x 240, Millions
8-bit Unsigned Integer, Mono, 44.100 kHz

When I open the video I get a white screen audio does appear to be working, any suggestions.
