How do i set target bitrate in VD MPEG2?

    Hello,

How do i set the target bitrate and not target size in VD MPEG2? I seen a button to the left of the box and i press it then it resets. There is a calc button to the right which brings up a new window. I just want the target bitrate and not size.

If you are using XviD,then click on the Target Quantizer button and it will change to Target Bitrate.

      paglamon,

I remember i tried pushing that button for bitrate and it didn't let me set it for 1500 even. How good is the quality for that? How can i set it for 1500?

Type 1500 in the box (as shown in the pic).

Depends on the length(time) of your file.
Remember FILE SIZE = TIME X BITRATE.
            So,a 2 hour video at 1500 kbps = (2x3600) seconds x 1500 kb/second
            =10800000 kb
            =1.29 GB approx.
1500 kbps is a pretty good bitrate for XviD avi.
