transfering DV tapes to computer using windv AUDIO stutters/choppy but video is great

using a laptop from 2014 with built-in firewire adapter, used windv, I tried the default windows 10 1394 drivers then tried custom driver from a site and same sympton, also tried windows 7 ultimate sp1 x64 live win2go from a usb drive and tried transferring DV tape to AVI on an internal ssd and same...

I apologize for the basic nature of this question but I've looked all over and I can't seem to get an answer I understand (any answer really!)

When I do this (with or without the trim which I added just to make sure it wasn't a frame quantity issue)
