using a laptop from 2014 with built-in firewire adapter, used windv, I tried the default windows 10 1394 drivers then tried custom driver from a site and same sympton, also tried windows 7 ultimate sp1 x64 live win2go from a usb drive and tried transferring DV tape to AVI on an internal ssd and same... -
No Firewire USB 2.0 OK?
I just bought a new machine, every PC I have bought for the last 10 years has had a Firewire port to D/load video. This one does not (can't believe I didin't Check) Support says to just use a firewire to USB adapter....is this adequate? Should I get a firewire port installed.....?
