"Feedback Window" In DivX 5.1

Does anyone know how to get that Pesky "Feedback Window" to not show up when you are encoding with the new divx format?

I don't know how to blow up the feedback window.
But I want to ask you about the speed.
Why it is so slow??? I'm trying to encode a movie, and it goes
5-8fps.
Does the same thing happening to you?

Yeah, I dont know the exact speed, but it does seem slower.

Deactivating the Feedback Window

To deactivate the feedback window, get into "Configure Codec" (usually easy to do when you're encoding a video).

Click on the Settings Tab (lower lefthand corner of the first configuration panel)

Tick the box "Dactivate Feedback Window".

Encoding speed

To get the same encoding speed as in 5.0.5 (and therefore, the same compression / quality), do the following:

Get into "Configure Codec" (I usually do this when I'm about to encode a video. Whatever encoder you;re using - VirtualDub, FlaskMpeg, etc. presents a different way to get into it.. look for a "Configure" button on the panel where you choose the DivX 5.1 Pro codec).

Move the slider Performance/Quality all the way to the LEFT (opposite end of STANDARD).

STANDARD in DivX 5.1 == SLOW in DivX 5.0.5
and vice-versa.

If you've got a large memory (greater than 512Mb RAM), you can also speed things up considerably by using double buffering.

Go to Start -> Programs -> DivX -> DivX Pro Codec -> configure.exe

Tick the box that says Double Buffer
