video to MPEG4 for PSP

is there any freeware programs out there that will easily convert video to MPEG4, so that it can be played on the PSP?
I have tried a program called 3GP converter, but was not able to get it to work. i think i installed it ok. The only question mark was, it should of asked for Quicktome to be downloaded, but it did not. i don't have quicktime installed on this machine. any ideas?

mmm freeware is not always the right question to ask... but if you have Nero recode then thats your ticket...
