Can't get my ISO's to burn on DVD-R disc...

I absolutely love imgburn, (even more so than Nero). I have burned hundreds of DVD's with my Plextor External USB2.0 Drive. Unfortunately, this is where my dilemma started. My beloved Plextor died on me yesterday and luckily I had the product replacement plan at Best Buy so they gave me a brand new one. Only this time it is a different newer model. My problem is this, now for some reason all my burns error out (usually during the beginning). I believe my firmware is up to date, what am I doing wrong? I suspect the culprit could be the fact that I just bought a new pack of DVD-R's from BulkPak. How do I access a log to show you guys what is happening by pasting it on here? Any help anyone can give is greatly appreciated!
