    Burn Error/Too many coasters

Hello All, I am new to this is a way but have spent some time doing so, I have been burning for a little while but have run into a problem, I cant get anything lately to copy. I uses DVD decrypter, (I have NERO 7 installed) and DVD Shrink. I keep burning coasters, here is my most recent error. It seems to take quite a while to even get to this point, I should be fine with capability. If you can please help and point me to the solution, I have looked at a lot of posts already. Thanks for any help you can provide. It says key illegal request, how can I fix this, Thanks, log below:

First read The Golden Rules, then use RipIt4Me & ImgBurn. Follow this guide.

I don't have the first part of the log but I can tell you I am trying to burn to a dl dvd at 2.4x which is the max that the discs will burn, so I am not compressing at all, I am trying to do a full burn. Hope that helps a little?

well sooner or later you will need imgburn, download it and put a blank in and
post the right hand screen showing your burner/firmware and the mid code of the blank

nero and dvdshrink can't do dual layer worth a darn

            Hey Soup:

I have a couple questions, your directions point to using DVD Decrypter. I thought DVD Decrypter was not good, Ripit4 me asks to poitn a path to FixVTS, what is that and how do I point it to it. Also do you have a link of directions of how to burn discs that I want to shink and not use a duel layer disc? Thanks for the help.

Chewy I was able to burn 1 disc so far using Soup's directions, same question is posed to you too, how do you suggest I burn discs I want to shrink?

RipIt4Me ISO Mode uses Dvd Decrypter to rip the disc to your hard drive. You can download FixVts & place it in the same folder as your RipIt4Me.exe. Make sure the path points to where it is correctly you will need it. For dvds that you don't want to burn on dual layer, you would use RipIt4me which uses Dvd Decrypter & FixVts to rip to your hard drive, then Dvd Shrink to make it fit on single layer & create an ISO to burn with ImgBurn. Now the burning part, the link I am going to give you is really if you are burning to dvd+r & your drive supports bitsetting. It shows Dvd Decrypter but as ImgBurn is Dvd Decrypter's burn engine updated the steps are the same. The only difference for dvd-r is that you would not click the little book. I hope this covered it.

                      post a whole log

the reason you need to update that firmware is we aren't seeing what your disks are, and that's because your drive isn't seeing them right either

might have a bad drive. crappy no name blanks or anybody's guess

                              just attach a full report(go advanced/manage attachemnts)
maybe we'll catch something out of place

that plex/benq? and even the older firmware should be burning those verbs

something else may be interfering with the burn
