All of sudden I'm getting buffer problems while burning discs. I know some of the problems that might cause this, but I wanted to post my burn log to see if the experts can let me know if anything stands out that can be fixed. Thanks.

Running some disc scan at the same time as you burn? Using the computer at all or just have ImgBurn running?

If there was no disk activity due to running other programs the possibility that stands out would be disk fragmentation. Have you done an analysis to see how fragmented your HD is? Even though the .iso is a disc image, it's still a file. It could be scattered all over. I'd check the fragmentation rate of your HD.

Well I do have Norton running in the background, and when I say running I mean the Auto-Protect is enabled. Norton does scan my computer automatically on occasions, but what are the odds it just happens to do it every time I burn a disc, ya know?
I will turn the auto-protect feature off and see what happens from there. But other than Norton, no, there is nothing else running on the computer.

well Norton wasn't the problem. still having the problem. Also, I have the burn speed at 8x. At the start of the burning process, it will get all the way to 8x, then the buffers will act up, when they recover, it will only go back up to 6x and stay there for the rest of the burn, why does it do this?? I'm wondering why it doesn't get back to 8x.
