    ripit4me and imgburn help

    i dont understand what im doing wrong. got an I/O error when using IMGBURN. here is the log. used ripit4me then ripped with dvddecrypter then shrank to an ISO file with dvdshrink. when opened imgburn and tried to burn this was the log.

    Try to check that DMA is still enabled.

      16x media detected as 4x maximum on that drive?!

      Something seems a little 'off' there.

      It doesn't look like the drive really supports that dye (MCC 03RG20).

        dma's where all on. and i set it to burn at 4x. the drive is a 16x and media is also. verbatim -R

            have updated my firmware now and tried again. same thing has happened is there something that i am doing wrong? dma's are on. firmware updated. using verbatim -r. i dont understand.

                tried burning inside man on a verbatim +r this time. it was burning but did not finish. i/o error here is the log

                  let's try 2 things before burning any more dvd's

                  those hp's come with a lot of junk installed


                  select your drive and copy into a reply

                  and then from cynthia's link for the new firmware let's flash again but this time from safe mode, no disks in drive, apply just the firmware, not the software updates

                  make sure you reboot and try another burn with all other programs shut down
                  if your devfilter log looks clean

                    Looks to me that the maximum write rate for that disc should be 4X & I might have missed it but I didn't see booktype for +r.

                      i have gotten only one dvd to burn since using the ripit4me. now i am having problems. may my burner be wore out. i have had it for about a year or so and have done probably about 8o+ burns. i will go and check out the bustrace and hopefully that works. thanks for all the help lately.

                        i have the hp dvd writer 740 i dont know exactly where to get the info it says it saved it to the clipboard but where?

                              the verbatrim +r that i have say they are 16x. and i had been trying to burn at 4x before that was the first i did at 16x
