Romanian characters / utf8

Hi,

Some please help with displaying Romanian characters. I have tried everything I could think of, but I am still get my subtitle to display with Romanian characters.

This is what I have done:

1. Created the subtitles in Word, using Insert Symbol for Romanian characters.
2. Saved the file as TXT as Unicode-UTF8.
3. Opened the txt file in DivXLand Media Subtitler v2.0.7.
4. Changed windows to show Romanian for non-unicode programs.
5. Tried changing the language settings in the program, to Eastern European as well as Baltic.

What I tried, I still get the incorrect characters to show.

For instance, this:

Poliţişti l-au recunoscut ca Felix Banna,

Shows as:

Poliţişti l-au recunoscut ca Felix Banna,

What do I have to do to get it right? Please help, I am going nuts.

same problem here with hungarian characters. please help

i have tried to set thw recomended solution in other topic(set the windows for non unicode programs something ) but doesnt work
