Standalone DVRs

I found the firmware HQ site, but it seems limited to PC Optical drives.

Any for Standalone DVR's, ie Panasonic, Funai, etc??

I have a Sylvania DVR90VF; I know there's been firmware updates for similar models, but have hit a brick wall!

Funai/Sylvania/Emerson online customer support is worthless. Needless to say, any future purchases from them is not going to happen unless pigs start flying
