Application not closing during shutdown

Can someone tell me which application is this and how to get rid of it, I get this everytime I shutdown XP. I have checked the taskmanager, services, startup ini's, eventviewer but of no luck.......



I know I can force to kill all application during shutdown via the registry but I want to find out what app is this and remove.

Get process explorer from http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilitie...sExplorer.html and find out what this critter is.

Maybe do a system restore.

I ran the removal tool, it didnt find any virus.

Will work on other suggestions now.

Thanks blu, the tool help me identify the problem, it was the Zcfgsvc.exe service i.e Intel Zero Config MFC Application.

I remember getting a prompt for letting Intel manage the Wifi, which I accepted and probably that installed this service and with it the shutdown problem.

It loads up at startup, so I disabled it using msconfig.

i myself love services.msc more, excellent for setting up hardware profiles (with unessecary services disabled) for gaming

I don't use msconfig. I prefer to go to the registry key and delete the offending menace. I think HijackThis/Spybot also does this.
