hit the forum n just saw your reply. it's ok. it was about the same as yours in your post here. what happen was that i had your sticky on while going through it, and noticed that mozilla slowly, but surely eats up ram the longer you're on it. now i know why you guys don't suggest doing video work while multi-tasking.

hey chewy i really would like to put some extra ram, and that extra 250 hd in here. should i contact dell, and at least find out what ram would b compatible w/this lil dell hell? the hd i think shouldn't pose a problem, but mab run that by them as well? or can google be my friend w/this? thnx.

just post an everest overclock and we'll match up some compatible ram from newegg

it's dirt cheap right now if you have ddr2

I'd have to pay 100$ for another 512(2x256) of my ballistix, if I could find it(doubtful)
            cas 2.5 ddr1 500 ram was a scarce commodity

if your power supply will handle it, both

however the ram is not a necessity except for gaming and 2 gigs is overkill, but the extra gig is like 20$ more

do you photoshop? adobe programs use a lot, a few of the newer modules want 2 gigs just to run right

hi chewy. no i don't photoshop. mostly just video work, and cds. would need some extra space though for photo stuff later on if get into it. my psu is 500watts. the atx i snatched from newegg. would think that could handle both.

is outlook a resource hog? just started using it. the messages have to go some where on my pc if i'm using the software. also hit auto adjust, and now can't find how to turn it off. is that a performance hog also? if so how can i turn it off? thnx.
