    Welcome to the forum

Many flash objects are activeX. Check if your firewall is set to block activeX. Be careful: some activeX are dangerous

            I have another suggestion.

Please give me some time to prepare the image

            Here I am

Go to Internet options and select "Programs" and then "Manage addons"

Then select "Shockwave flash object" and then "Update" button

Try if this works to install the shockwave active X

I have a question. Are their accounts "Limited User" accounts? If so you may want to temporarily make them admins, do the install, then revert back to limited.

OK, when i go to internet options all that come up is internet properties and there is no manage button like in your photo. Maybe i'm going to the wrong place. Control panel then internet options. right???
And for your question Cam yes, both of them are admin accounts.

You should open a window of Internet Explorer and then select menu "Tools" and "Internet Options". From here follow the images I posted previously.

Sorry for not being clear previously

What version of IE do you have? Maybe this feature is only on latest release of IE6, and maybe was service pack 2 of windows XP that added this.

In your first post you said that SP2 failed. Can you explain better? What error do you get?

For IE simply go on menu "Help" --> "About"

For the version of windows go to desktop and right click on "myComputer" --> "Properties".

So probably was SP2 that installed that feature on my computer.

I searched a link for service pack2, but the only I found was windows update.

If you do a windows update it can require a very big download, because service pack 2 is a rather big file (200 MB if I'm not wrong).

Try to search here if you can download the latest version of flash player
