      you mean error check right above the defrag option, right? it has 2 boxes to check, use both?

              yup. do both, especially if you haven't done it in a while. it will take some time

                  ok, well like i said it wants to restart before it can do it...and i have tmpgenc running so it will have to wait. i will do it though and then you say defrag again?

                      lol. ok when it does it's quick analysis for defrag all those red lines are still there---like it did nothing. although i haven't restarted since the defrag if it matters.

                          If you want the best of the best use Diskeeper 10. You really should try and defrag your HDD at least once per day. It also has a program built in that will resize your MFT.

                              well fellas i did the scan disc which took forever, and defragged again. it still looks like the image i posted.

                                I have a batch file setup to run to shutdown my computer. It runs a virus scan, defrag, chkdsk and then shuts down the PC. Depending on what I am doing, an encode from cce or HC or something else, I usually run that from a separate batch file and point to my regular shutdown batch file. This way, my PC gets a thorough scan when I am asleep. I think you can even run imgburn from command line. I haven't tried it though.
