kill hibernation, windows wants a big swap file for defrag, in addition to having to keep 2 copies of stuff as it's rearranging them.

Always figure at least 5-10% of any system partition should remain free!

I like perfectdisk a lot and have used it for a while with no problems. I have a friend who uses the free one I linked to and he likes it.

I haven't bothered t.o partition my drive c which is 80GB. I use 8GB for my windows installation. I use the rest for DVD files an swap them to my drive D when I need to. I should really partition it but, I already have eight drives icons in my computer (plus anything plug and play such as mp3 players) and it looks rather crowded as it is.
