Hello all.
I have recently purchased a miniDV Handycam.
It came with Sony picture package software....which I found to be rubbish.
So I uninstalled it and I am now using Adobe premiere 6.0.
I have recently changed my hard drive and did not back up anything at'all....so maybe I have lost some must have software or something.
My problem is that I can't seem to find the connected camera in order to grab the video i have recorded to edit it etc.
When I used to connect my digital camera I used to be able to find it under 'My computer' as another drive....double click it and open it up.
No 'Found new hardware' pop up messages anymore....for either my new miniDV handycam or my old digital camera when I connect them.
It is like I don't have the camera connected to the pc at'all.....please help.
I am running Windows XP home.
I have USB 2.0 ports and I am obviously connecting via usb.
I am no computer genius and appologise if I have not described my problem very well but any advice will be very much appreciated.
Thankyou very much
