plug and play monitor freezing computer

I just bought DCLCD DCL9C Black 19" 12ms LCD Monitor Built in Speakers - Retail at Newegg.com and when I hooked it up I comp has froze twice since then. I did in stall any drivers I believe it is just working through the plug and play option can a monitor cause ur comp to freeze and if it does should i try to find some drivers to go with it because it did not come with a cd with the drivers on it

    you did install drivers?

or you did not? (then something is bad wrong, unhook speaker?)

Go into safe mode if it will boot up, uninstall any driver you loaded or choose last known good configuration

Some onboard vid switch automatically when you hook up to a vid card, others need to be selected in bios
