    Dvd - R

    I have a 4x DVD+R/+RW drive. Is there any way to make it accept DVD-R? It will read them, but not record on them.

      It can't record on -R. You need a new burner if you want to use -R.

      Are you having problems with +R. If not, then stick with it.

              Have you thought of upgrading your drive. There are many wonderful posts around here about quality of DVD burners. Being a 4X burner, I am wondering when you (and could) update your firmware for your burner.

              The 2nd question is "are you burning your dvd+r as dvd-roms?" But if you are having no problems like NWQ said, then stick with it.
