    drf,
whenever you get ready to reload windows, get as much data as you can on the old drive, make a backup to cd/dvd of real essential stuff. Burn all large video on good media.
now boot to the windows cd and delete the partition on the new drive, make a primary partition no larger than 25-30 gigs, for a lean specialized setup, I use 15 GB. After windows is loaded you can go back into manage and make another partition(extended) and a logical drive for data.
Just to be safe have your old drive disconnected during the install, I once deleted 160 gigs of data this way, that's why I always keep 2 backups.

took about half a day to round up the other backups(scattered out) and reload the master data drive, a few years ago we spent weeks digitizing a large music library at a large club onto a raid stripe with 2 ibm 40 gig drives.
The DJ's trash the cd's changing them out all night, one drive died after 6
months, that work was lost. I spent 2 weeks digitizing a karaoke collection,
        I backed up every day.

happened to me once too, though i only lost my FLAC audio collection. it was a real pain, took ages to rip and encode all those cds again

i have an external 250GB drive. back up daily as well. cant afford (literally) data loss

Just wanted to thank you all for the Tips

Blu's Microsoft Safety Center link worked very well, Cynthias System File Checker Guide is now a part of my wall postings, and Crap Cleaner worked very well, I let it analyze then I closed my eyes and pushed the Clean Button and everything still works

I know thats the irresponsible way, but there was way to much to go thru one by one, thank god for backups when you have guys like me

            thankyou all

Just curious if you know where to get instrumentals from. I have a collection going, but there are many I cannot find. I figure DJs would know LOL

we have used several large suppliers usually buying sets at a good discount.
                like 30 disks,

Are they studio versions? Or cheap ones?

I can get rap ones no problem from select sites, but some of them are impossible to find. I don't wanna pay for them, as many are different and not "official"

they are professional ones and cost a pretty penny, but in bulk are 50% off,
the problem is they are extremely delicate, which is why we went digital

Hmm, you know any sites that have them for free? Also, what type of music are they? Rap/pop/rock/whatever

no karaoke for free unless you use nero to mute the vocals but we need the
hidden video track that puts the lyrics on the tv screen

hmmm, I mean official as in not karaoke mixes, but studio produced.

How do you use Nero to mute the vocals? I had to use AV Music Morpher for that.

That's what I am talking about... that came off Bullet in a Bible DVD. Although I can't find any other Green Day instrumentals

You got any of those? Rap songs are easy, I have tons of studio released ones, not too hard to find.

Hi Mr Blu..... I used the new free Ms cleaner yesterday... It took 10 minutes, and me another 2 hours to re find all my files, including decrypted videos, which it sent all over the place !!!!!! In the end had to use restore point to make PC usable.......Never again.......

Thats why whenever you activate something that says "BETA", you have to be ready for unforseen outcomes.
It worked great on my machine....
