won't recognize dvd drives

I have a dvd rom and a dvd burner. Lately computer won't recognize any of the 2 dvd drives. only floppy drive. Usually, I would restart and after 1 or 2 tries the drives would show up and off I went. Now neither dvd drive will show up again. Only the floppy. I have rebooted 6 times what could be the issue. Thanks for any and all help.
