HELP! Lost "F" drive

Hi all,

Just had a new DVD burner installed last week and now I have tried to burn my first DVD. Not only is the DVD caught in the computer (I hired it from the shop) but the drive wont even open. Also my computer is telling me I don't have an "F" drive.Please what do I do??? Explainations in laymans terms would be appreciated, as I am not really computer literate.

Hi and welcome to the forum

Have you checked cables? Are you sure that power plug is inserted correctly?

Check also jumpers: two drives set as master in the same IDE channel create hardware conflicts

2 things:

1. DVD caught in drive is not good.
2. Trying to burn DVD hired from shop is against rule 6.
