Hello. Sure hope someone can help me with this problem. I have run virus scans, including unistalling avg 7 and going 2 avast home, plus the virus software with my cox internet security suite. I have also run defrag, disc cleanup, and thorough scan disc uppon restart. After all of these errors I restart computer and get blue screen. microsoft keeps telling me 2 uninstall windows 2000 resource kit. I dont have it installed. I usually can fix my own computer, but this has me baffled. What am I over looking??? Please help.
Several errors and occasional blue screen

try the memory benchmarks(you have to hit the little arrows at top)
see if that kingston value ram is going bad
resilts will be bad, we just need to know if it finishes or not
hard drive is running hot, can you leave side off case and point a small fan into it and see if that helps the problems
how long since your last clean install?Last edited by Chewy; 30 May 2006, 08:57 AM.Comment

Chewy's solution has helped me - but you may need more fans in there or the processor may be on the way out.
