Now you got me wondering------------
On my Acronis True Image home edition 9.0. The "Acronis Secure Zone" is my drive G and is a FAT32 file system, thinking about changing it to NTFS file system.
The operating system is XP home edition and is still located on drive C. The entire hard drive is NTFS except for drive G "Acronis Secure Zone"
Should I have any ill effects? Or is it just a waste of time doing so, since it will only be used for entire system hard disk backup including the operating system?
Also, the entire drive G, (one image file) is on DVD+R media for additional backup if the entire drive everything gets lost.Last edited by ed klein; 6 Jun 2006, 10:11 PM.Comment

NTFS is way better than FAT32 for security, tranferring larger file size, more reliable, and more. Unless use still use Windows 98/Me which can't read NTFS. Even my external hard drive (built originally with FAT32) was converted to NTFS. The file system conversion is quick and all the date in the drive ts retained without corruption. Please still back up to be safe before converting
