I just bought the Logitech Precision PC Gaming Headset and i can get sound to come through the headphones but the mic isnt working. I've tested it in Sound Recorder and in the Hardware Test thing and it doesnt detect a microphone. Its not anything stupid like i have the mic muted or anything. I have it plugged in correctly i think it has something to do with when i go to Volume Control, there are the Microphone, Line In, S/PDIF-In, and Auxilary volume controls and if i try to unmute any of them it mutes the microphone. I dont know what to do because it seems like my computer doesnt detect a microphone or something there was no installation cd. Please help!
Microphone won't work

use imageshack's "hotlink for form's 1"
With that info window open, press and hold the "Alt" button, while pressing the "Print Screen" button. Release keys.
Open MS Paint and go to "Edit">"Paste". Now go to "File">"Save As". Provide a name and Change "Save As Type" to ".png". save to a desired area on your PC.
Go to imageshack
Unlimited space to host images, easy to use image uploader, albums, photo hosting, sharing, dynamic image resizing on web and mobile.
"Browse" for the file you just made on your PC, Click "Host". Copy and Paste the link under "Hotlink for forums 1". If you want a clickable image select all text, if you want just an image (like the ones in this post) select only the information between (and including) the "" (Omitting the [URL.] & [/URL.]).

Unplug the microphone from the computer, and check if the microphone wires are broken.
Get a digital test meter from some electronics store like Radio Shack and check for continuity, set the meter for continuity and touch one lead + side of the microphone plug, and the other lead - side to the other microphone plug lead.
The meter will indicate a complete electrical path if the microphone circuit is complete and not open circuit.Comment
