hmmmm Maybe I will have to give Firefox a try...is it really that much better then IE? I guess I am getting stubborn in my old age...I tried IE 7 and didn't like it went back to 6, same with Media player..tried 11 and went back to 10.. I seem to be stuck with what I know lol...so if I download and istall Firefox, do I have to get rid of IE, as in unistall? I worry since I would hate to have trouble getting 6 back, tho I could always do a restore I guess...thanks for the advice Soup!

Want to really clean out your browsers then download ATF Cleaner but be careful because when it's gone it is gone.

The program and interface all seem the same...for now. we shall see what Trend Micro plans on doing with the nice little app.

Embedding Internet Explorer in tabs of Mozilla/Firefox.

If you like IE7 you may like the IE Tab add-on for firefox you can easily see how a webpage displayed in IE with just one click and then switch back to Firefox.I think it is a great add-on you can go to a site either using FF or IE7 with out closing your FF browser.Lets say I like using IE7 for this site if I have IE Tab set it will always display this site using the IE7 engine until I tell it not to

I trust this website & I have just used this program which seems to work very well. I would advise you read & make your own choice though.

I found a forum plugin for FF I like.It's called Forum Additive it basically works like the subscribed thread here in the forums.The only difference it that you don't have to be here to know that there has been a new post on the thread your interested in you will see a pop up on the bottom right hand corner of your screen to inform you .It will look like this

I might have to check that out BR7, thank you. Here's a couple for those that want to know how stable their rigs are. If you are not sure that you want to know, then do not use them & they are not for the faint of heart. For you folders, do not fold if you decide to try them out.

I went back to Firefox from Opera once I
tried Firefox 2.0. Only thing is the password wand
in Opera is much better for sites where you have
multiple accounts. It pops up a dialog with all
your saved ID/passwords and you just arrow down
and hit Enter. Another thing it does better
than Firefox if you buy lots of stuff online is
fill out forms. For those 2 features I keep Opera
8.5 on my system. It's an older version with not
much bloat and runs fine on Vista.

It has the '/' key for incremental search on
web pages like Firefox so it's not too much of
a sacrifice to use it occasionally.
