Set your recording source to "wave out mix", normalize your volumes, open that file in an audio player.
Use something like Nero Wave Editor to record it, save as Nero's WAV extension.CYA Later:

another one bites the dust, could almost understand the speech,
plays great with media player or nero media center

a friend recorded an out of town business conference and wants to burn cd's from these lame

plays it fine and converts 30 seconds worth as trial in a second or so
30$ tho
nero wave editor won't open this kind of wave

behappy (avisynth) to the rescue
try it http://workspaces.gotdotnet.com/behappy through directshowsource(), if you can play it, you can encode it
