If you are using Windows XP - ignore it.

To Use ATAPI and SCSI drives under NT/2K/XP with SPTI
Starting with CDDA32 version 1.0, ASPI drivers are no longer necessary for NT. Instead we are using the SPTI (SCSI Pass Through Drivers) which do not require the user to install any special drivers. CDDA32 should work just fine right out of the box.

            Cynthia,

What about installing Nero's instead? CDspeed couldn't read my external DVD drive until I installed Nero's wnaspi32.dll - Nero Driver (for Windows NT/2000/XP)
After reading your link I'm glad I never had the adaptec drivers.

Nero's programs uses it's own ASPI layer.
