Update on shrink , dma etc

here we go again. and i hope i put this in the right catagory this time, so that i don't get yelled at.

Using window's XP PRO, sony dru810a ( updated version 1E ) install update for neor 6.6.1.4, installed dvd decrypt and imgburn. Now i tried to fool dvd decrypt with renaming it and also copied dvd decrypt.exe into dvd imgburn. I have downloaded the new version of dvd shrink so that i can ( try to ) burn a dvd.
I have also downloaed ripit4me, fixvts. Now i have all of these programs and i still can't get a dvd to burn.
    Example.
Using ripit4me. Did a fine job of ripping it for me and when that was done. It went into dvd shrink and copied just fine. Then went into dvd imgburn and it ran all the way through until the end and it said that it was successful on the burn. I took out the ( so called bruned dvd ) and all the sony did was just spin and didn't copy any of the dvd.
The setting to burn ratio was set at 4x as per the page on burning an iso image.
Another Question here: When i installed the update for Nero, should i have uninstalled the old version ? or just over wrote it . LIke i did.
Ready to pull what hair i have left out of my head.
Could it be possible that my sony dvd went to pot ?

    Thank's Again

If you are using Imgburn to burn with Nero shouldn't be a factor at all. Post the log from Imgburn, better yet try a burn with Nero and post that log.

This failure is from an ISO file that was generated via DVD Shrink? Firmware is current and media is good....what is the name of the movie?

Try reripping with DVDFab Decrypter and then proceed with DVD Shrink as usual creating an ISO image file and then reburn with Imgburn.

I take that you want me to use ripit4me, shrink and then imgburn as i have already done . Are you saying that my installation of dvd shrink might be bad ?

Nope, I want you to rip with DVDFab Decrypter to your HDD first. Forget Ripit4Me right now. Then continue on with DVD Shrink like you usually do opening the VIDEO_TS folder and encode creating and ISO image file as your output. Then I want you to burn the ISO with Imgburn.

Are you saying that my installation of dvd shrink might be bad ?
Not at all, I think your ripping process may be off a bit and I want to see if you get the same result with a different method.

Edit: I forgot the link in my last post for DVDFab, I apologize...no wonder there was confusion.

the odds are the computer has issues, the burner is flacky, bad verbatim, in that order

more clues to sort it out

I usually have my computer formatted at FAT32 , but i had my computer in the repair shop and they formatted the hard drive in NTFS.
Would this make a difference ?

was it a clean install on a ntfs or a conversion

i would take that it was a clean format to ntfs, because i had it formatted in fat32
