    @Chewy

    I ran the program and it ran twice, once from the first GUI (the one where you choose basic or advanced) I chose advanced and picked drive C:..that took 1-1/2 hrs..when that scan finished it immediately went to a black dos-type screen with a blue bar on top with c:\documents\...\system cleaner\VSCANTM.BIN on it. It did a second complete scan which took 1hr-6min. (approx 15-16gb)
    It saved a log on the second scan and it all shows clear, no bugs...a LOT of programs to clean out of startup though
    If it saved a log on the first run, I dont know, probably did a overwrite on the second scan if it did.

    So what do you suppose I did wrong to make it do two scans? or is that the norm? I did leave the delete/detect box checked.

      Did the same default scan. Same thing happened to me.
      It seems there are three parts to the scan.
      Chewy mentioned scanning the C:\WINDOWS\ folder because "the infections have to be in windows to work good, data can have the installers hiding there"
      Also looks like there are regular updates as well.

        It took forever, after 10 hours it was still in the middle of drive D (the second of three drives in Windows) so I cancelled.

                        System Suite uses the same virus pattern files.
