Extracting audio from a MOV

Don't know if this is possible.

I have an E-CD that has an interactive MOV file, with some audio on it. This includes some rare instrumentals and stuff.

I could always record it but is there some way to "demux it"? The thing is that it's interactive, not like an actual movie.

either update mp4box (download and replace old exe in yamb folder) or use avidemux

well this should work, create an avisynth script,

directshowsource("c:\path\file.mov")

open in virtualdub, extract audio (will be lpcm, you'll probably want to encode afterwards)

anon I got it from a CD.

Weird Al - Poodle Hat to be exact. And yes I own the CD.
And it's an INTERACTIVE MOV, meaning you can click, like a mini-DVD.

OK in VDubMod it got the main movie only, not the "extras" if you will.

odd, sounds like flash content to me. not aware of anything to demux such content, possibly quicktime pro.

avisynth is probably the best you can do for free

A friend has QT Pro maybe I will try it on his PC

and it is called ALECD.MOV, so it's a .MOV, but could have "flash" content.

It is called an E-CD meaning it's interactive, I would just like to extract the bonus songs in there without having to record through soundcard.

OK, I tried it in Ulead Video Studio, and it opened like an hour long thing with all the extras in a row. So currently I am using mark in and out and saving it as a WAV.
