When i re-installed window's. I did switch the cd-write and the dvd rom. I put the dvd burner as the master and the cd-writer on the as the slave.........should i change them back to where there were ?
I'd say you got troubles if the tool can't recognise drive F. In the short term, I'd get rid of the CD Rom and put the SONY DVD drive in its place. Are your jumpers configured correctly?

I put in my cd-writer again.....aztec which does show as my ( E ) drive. Which i didn't realize is that the other cd i had in there ( was ) a Tosshiba dvd rom. Which my computer did not pick up.
I checked all the wires going to my mother board, unplugged them and re-seated them .
I put the aztec back on top as the master and sony as the slave again.
I'll try your idea Blu and see if my computer will reconize the sony. Be back soon.
