oops! - looked closer at the report, & realized that I goofed!

This is my SATA drive!

Seagate ST3250820AS 41 °C (106 °F)

It is a Western Digital drive, set as slave to the Maxtor, that is not showing up in the temp. sensor.

ran the latest version of Everest, & still the same situation - is it because it is a slave drive?

getting a little toasty in there night(warm) make sure you are getting some cool air to the tower

just keep an eye on it, keep room cool

shrink, any full transcode/encode conversion that uses a lot of cpu and hard drive for extended time

30 min or longer creates a lot of heat

If I think my computer is going to overheat I just point a small fan at it, even from accross the room

I open the panel and turn the air conditioning lower, It cool down slowly but going down

you don't have it stuffed back under the desk in a closed up space, do you? I see so many people that push the case as far back in the little area under their desk, that you can't even get your hand behind the case!

I have that problem, my desk has a spot just big enough for my tower. Gets warm at times but good air flow keeps it cool.

CPU Diode 40 °C (104 °F)

my case is out side, just running too much encode with shrink almost nonstop when I am home, I may need to buy a small fan ( the two 500 is one on top another in 3.5 spaces below the optical so I guess they need more air flow)
