    Case/Mother Board don't fit together

Hi everyone, hope you're all having a good weekend so far.
I'm not....I'm having a problem. Just bought a case and mother board, and when i put them together (after i screw in the mobo to the case) none of my cards will fit (sound, video, etc....) but if i put the cards in first, then the holes don't line up from the mobo to the case....what to do?
The case is a nextherm ics 8200, and the mobo is an asus a8n sli deluxe.
    Please help!
    TIA

the little brass posts(standoffs) have to be put in the right holes,
I put the back plate in where the mouse, kb, and usb, ethernet connections go then hold the mobo in the case and figure out which holes the standoffs go in, after 10-20 builds it's quite simple, the first one is a bear.

Hi Chewy glad you're here. I do have the stand offs in the right spots, it's just when i screw in the mobo the cards are off by 1/16th of an inch. Lets see if i can get some pics here.

but this last pic shows that when i try to put a card in, that the card doesnt fit (seems like the card is too long....or the mobo needs to move away from the back of the computer by 1/16th of an inch) but when i put the mobo into my old antec case, everything lines up and fits fine...so it seems to be a case problem? can the holes be redrilled?

looks like they hosed the threaded hole lay out, I was going to suggest you loosen all the screws and try to pull the mobo back from the backplate of the case, but you'll never get 1/16.

think drilling out new holes is a viable option? or should i try and get the case exchanged? I purchased it from tiger direct

Tiger will definatly take that case back but I would try another model just in case they got a bad batch.

Chewy, I was just remembering what you told me about Tigerdirect...argh argh argh.
