XP reads files on 1 side of DVD but not the other???

It sounds like a dvd playback issue but nooooooo...it acts like an xp issue. On the new Lord of the Rings Trilogy where you have to turn over the DVD to play the 2nd part of the movie, XP doesn't see the files. It sees em on one side of the disc and my software plays em, but not the other . The people at the video store say I'm the only one having this problem. Any ideas???

Does it work to play that second side in your regular stand alone player?

Tried to run the disc thru DVD Decrypter/DVDFab Decrypter?

The second side does play in my regular stand alone player. However DVD decrypter does not see the files when the disc is in my computer DVD player. I also updated the firmware last night. That had no effect. Any ideas?
