pixelated playback, hardware acceleration issues...

Hey, so i just reformatted and updated my comp to Win XP SP2. I installed all the latest nvidia geforce graphic card, directx 9.0c, xvid codec, divx 311, the nimo lite pack.... yet my video playback looks like this...

I have had to lower hardware acceleration to the directx point, since my video playback is just black if its at full use..

with everything installed im really getting confused.. any one else resolve a similar problem before?

also, in bsplayer my videos come out upside down with a purple hue...

start by downgrading drivers to the previous version. which graphics card? running any apps in the background?
