Ocz USB stick write protect removal

This should be a challenge for the hardware experts. My OCZ 1gb usb stick suddenly shows itself as write protected. I can read, but not delete or format the stick. I have tried
the Ocz format utility, windows disk manager and the hp usb format utility. None work. I googled around and tried
xp security build 1219 utility, didn't work. Could just be the stick has gone bad, OCZ offers a lifetime garrauntee. I have e-mailed them, but would like to try to get it to work just to increase my general knowlege. Any Ideas

Have you tried Microsofts Flashdrive Manager? Might work

It doesnt have a tiny lil switch on the side for write protect does it?
