ok instead of one optiplex i got 2 for now.

1: GX280 with pci express slot

2: fairly new optiplex GX520 no agp / pcix slot

3: i dont play too many games, last slowest card i had was ATI 9200 128 mb and it played games i play. i replaced that with 9600XT later on.

now thing is i really like this 520 which is with pentium D dualcore 2.6 Ghz but no pcix slot.
other GX280 is with pcix slot and with P4 3.0 Ghz HT

now as iv said i dont play games like crazy, but i do render like crazy would ...

1: dual core 2.66 makes much difference upon 3.0 P4

2: if i add pci slot graphics card would it be any good, or would it be a waste of money ?

3: how much slower will a pci slot will be to pcix slot regarding above mention stuff.

if your app is multithreaded the dual core will be appling most of the 5.3GHz
and should be a lot faster(watch the heat)

pci is slower than molasses, don't bother

ok thnks iv settled for gx280, atleast i can add pcix card later, now this sunday will check for any speed gains. right now im tring to fix the very very fast but noisy cpu fan that gx280's have.
