Often the "crackling" noise heard from stamped audio discs is caused by a dirty optic lens, forcing the optic block to focus irratically. Because of the optic blocks irratic focusing motion, this tends to make the data read from the disc irratic as well. The "crackling" is actually missing data blocks during the irratic focus motion of the optic lens.

Some drives have good "read ahead" buffering and can overcome a dirty disc or dirty optic lens. The drive re-reads the problem section as long as there is enough buffer memory and lead time for the drive to correctly re-read the problem data block to recover the missing data and re-assemble it before it is heard. It is similar in function to the well known buffer feature in many protable CD players that prevent the skipping problem.

Try running a cleaning disc on the drive. Hopefully that will resolve the problem.

                  Here..I will fix it!

I think RF Burn is hitting on the head here, clean your cd/dvd burner or player

It used to be that you vinyl album (or record) would skip and scratch, now it is the player. The more things change the more they stay the same.
