    X-Box Patches

    I'm having problems with the X-Box patch at: http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows...60-update.html to install in my X-Box 360. It started going through the process and after my X-Box 360 rebooted I got a message of failing saying either the disc was dirty or I had to shut down the console, switch on and try again. I know the disc isn't dirty because it's brand-new. I tried another copy that I burnt and the same happened. I rebooted my console and the same happened. I must say, the first time I tried this it took a bit longer. What I mean is, the other attempts I had to select less options because something must be installed in my hard drive. I can't find it listed in my hard drive so I can't try again from scratch.

    I can't try using X-Box Live yet because I need to get a Router.

    Can anyone help, please?

      I posted a comment to your question regarding the patch in a different thread. The site has all the info you need.

      As far as failing to work properly, you may need to download it again ( from microsoft this time ) I have heard of a lot of corrupted downloads from different servers.

          Many thanks for your help and in the other thread. I apologise for not reading it there. I forgot I already asked. I didn't know some patches were corrupted.

          What I do before I buy X-box or X-Box 360 games, I hire them first as a trial. I do that with X-Box games encase of patch problems so I don't waste money on a game that I might not be able to play and I do the same with X-Box 360 games encase they turn out to be a load of rubbish and not worth playing. I'd rather lose a few quid on each game than £20.00 for X-Box, £45.00 to £55.00 for X-Box 360. It's worth passing that tip on to others elsewhere to help them save money. How many people buy games that they regret buying? We can't download trials but spending a tiny amount is worth that.
