    Please help computer is dying

    hello I have numerous problems with my PC first when start up of PC i get error message problem with WIN32 and ask if I want to send to microsoft--- I get on my computer and my internet connection fails never had trouble before- I have to reboot it everytime with proper settings- (wireless adapter)---- then I get system sounds but cannot play any music or any DVD sound---- last my start up toolbar is half XP and half classic- can anyone help me with this issue- it has been 2 days and I have treid to reinstall everything but XP because it says I have a newer version and doesn't let me- a;; this started happening on the same boot -up ty ad

    Have you scanned for viruses and trojans??

        thank you both for responding yes I did a virus and trojan check came up clean, with eTrust - will check out web page now thanks again

            Have you tried "reformatting"? reformatting is not the same as reinstalling.

              thanks again- no luck with those scans- but I did like the microsoft scan- and by reformat you mean the whole hard drive because I am going to do that just want to see if anyone knew anything else before I took the steps

                If you insert the Microsoft XP disc there is an option to repair the system - perhaps that is a try before a complete formatting and reinstalling of the Windows O/S.

                  Hi hooba,

                  After all the virus scanning, etc., you may want to try a system restore from safe mode. Did you install/run any programs recently that may have caused the system to be hosed?

                    hi thanks for all responses once again---- no I have not input any software in a few weeks, I did put a new monitor in but no disk was input---- just wanted to put on some music while I was cleaning but no go- talk about a bad week- PC not working- XBOX 360 fried- PS2 will not read my disc- ah what you going to do- thanks all!!!!!
