Windows Keeps crashing

windows keeps crashing whenever i play music cds,mp3s(with MPC),surfing the net (firefox)& ripping cds (EAC)
it has all windows updates and i scanned for viruses/spyware,nothing

its also a fresh install

really need to be able to turn off the onboard video, try in bios for shared memory, look for a jumper next to the onboard video out

see the power user sticky in general comp

i disabled my onboard video card in device manager,i couldnt find the jumper and dont know where to look exactly in the bios

i followed the power user guide

go back and change for best performance and only enable smooth edges of fonts

it looks like the onboard video is still sharing system memory

im not sure if i have a pci slot but in my agp slots it has my GFX card,ethernet & usb 2.0 ports

open the side and look in, course i deleted the manual I downloaded

late reply but i thought i should say that after cleaning and defragging my system seems more stable and i havent had a crash for a while

had a friend/client/trainee that bought a 2 or 3 year old computer for 10$ from a flea market, wouldn't post at all, he finally opened it up and someone had unhooked a lot of the connectors trying to isolate the problem

he shined a bright light into it and thought it looked awfully dirty, took a strong air compressor and started blowing, and kept blowing till it was dust free

booted and posted

rehooked up everything and it's fine, except for the load, reloaded and works great, didn't even burn up the power supply

and he got a decent monitor with it
