    Condensing Start Menu

I know I have too many programs installed, but I don't feel like removing half of them.

But here's the problem: I have so many that it fills up the start menu and more. First see the screenshot here:

There was an entire fourth column that was half chopped-off before, but now it invisible. My question is: Is there a way to condense the width of the colums so I can fit more programs in there?

And BTW, some programs are blurred so I don't get banned from the forum

I would get rid of all those shortcuts in the start menu. I counted over 20 that don't even have an uninstall or any program options in the start menu, just a shortcut.

That is a crazy amount of crap you got there!

I normally create the folders in the Start Menu's pPrograms and save those shortcuts there. For example, right-click Start, select Open to All Users and also Current User, open Programs, create a folder somethings like "Rarely used video programs" or " Rarely used graphics programs" and then drag the rarely used programs shortcuts into that folder. By doing that you can keep the shortcuts from scattering your Start Menu's programs

Well I would prefer to keep what I have there... but why would that fourth column disappear?

I would love to get my hands on that computer, see how much better it could actually run, LOL.

try renaming some of the longer entries to something shorter. that or delete/get a bigger display

but I don't feel like removing half of them.
                  so remove the other half

                    @anon

@LT, no way! And RAR Password Cracker ISN'T illegal, google it I only used it once on some RAR someone sent me, and it didn't even work LOL.

@Dan, I used to have it alphabetized, then I got lazy once I installed all the other stuff.

But seriously folks, isn't there some way to hack Windows so that you can make the font smaller or something? I sit close enough to the monitor that it would be fine at a smaller size.

Chewy, does that affect the XP theme though? Like the taskbar and others?

OK Chewy, that sort of worked.

For one part, it has those arrows you have to click to view all programs. It is nice that it automatically alphabetized them. And the screen is still used up, it chops off on W.

One thing I can do is move all my Office programs into a folder called MS Office.

The main reason I wanted them condensed is because now with giveawayoftheday, I am adding more stuff to my start menu daily, and it can't keep up!

Is there a way to get rid of that freaking arrow and have it show all of them at once?

Maybe I should make a "Free Programs" folder and put all my GiveAwayoftheDay stuff in it?
