Activating Windows

Out of the blue for some strange reason, I can't boot up properly. I get a message asking me to activate Windows. It's never asked me this before and the pre-entered license key code is invalid. It says there's one on the side of my tower and there is't. I checked inside the tower and there isn't one. Is there another way to find out?

What annoys me is the fact that this has happened on Saturday and I can't phone Microsoft for two days if I have to.

Microsoft activation centers are open 24/7. You can contact them virtually anytime, I have called them on the weekend before.

Many thanks to you all for the help. I managed to fix it now. I tried a phone number and somebody answered and activated it for me.
